Here is Oliver on the flight home from vacation in Colorado... happy, curious, engaged. Little did I know a few short moments later (when he had to sit in my lap for takeoff) my Dr. Jekyll would become Mr. Hyde -- total meltdown. But we survived and made it back to New York safe and sound.

A star is born... Oliver made his big debut in "A Time To Give" at the Times Center, off-broadway. The photos are a little blurry, but you can get the idea. He was a true star, very engaged and a natural.

New House

In the midst of first birthday, respiratory infection and chicken pox scare we also MOVED! Right next door into a bigger apartment that Oliver and I share. Things are a little disorganized, but here is a peak of the new place. We had amazing help from a lot of our friends and you will see Kristina and Pieter hard at work in some of these pictures!

OK... So I never do this, but I have to let you know about a product that has changed my life -- NEW L'Oreal Paris Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara. The mascara REALLY makes short, sparse lashes look long and full. It is like false eyelashes in a tube! They also don't flake or smudge (I had it on for over 15 hours yesterday and still looked fresh!). They are a little freaky when you wash off (look like false lashes coming off in chunks), but it is totally worth it. They are officially out in November, but some big stores (Walmart) have them now I think. Try it!!

10 Months Old!!

My big, happy boy is 10 months old today! Oliver is (crab) crawling, pulling up to standing and sitting, clapping and always smiling. What a joy he is... can't believe how fast time flies when you are having fun.

We have hit another milestone -- Oliver is now officially in a big boy car seat. And apparently he will be able to use this seat until he is 100lbs.... I don't even know what age that is!?!? Also included an adorable close up of Oliver's best friend, Jacob. What a sweetie!!

After monthes on nesting and hugging on the baby... I finally made it out to a party (!!!) on a Saturday night. I got all dressed up for the occasion. While I was home just after midnight because I needed to give my little guy a hug, I did have a great time and it certainly was refreshing talking about "grown-up" things vs poopy diapers and teething!!

Today is a special day - a day where we (mom, family, church) dedicate to raising Oliver in the love and care of the church. I was especially proud to have my parents and sister stand by me as Stephen and Melissa Hickson prayed and prophesied over him.
